Photographing Jess & Maggie’s engagement session at Wellington Beach was nothing short of a dream. I was honoured to know that they found me through their friend’s beautiful wedding I photographed in Prince Edward County, and their vision for a session filled with vibrant, dreamy, and colourful imagery made us align perfectly. Wellington Beach never disappoints, with its wooded paths, windswept grassy areas, and serene waterfront—all coming alive under the golden hour light.
Jess & Maggie’s love story began at a summer camp in 2021, where they first crossed paths. After navigating the complexities of a long-distance relationship for two years, Maggie moved to create a home together with Jess. Their warmth and love were palpable throughout the session. Before the session even began, Jess and Maggie took a moment to center themselves. Feeling a bit nervous, they arrived early and decided to explore the beach together, scouting the location and finding a quiet spot to share a few peaceful moments.
I loved how they took this time for themselves. This thoughtful gesture showed not only how much they cared about the experience but also the depth of their connection—taking the time to ground themselves together before diving into the shoot. It set the perfect tone for the rest of the session, where they were not only relaxed but also fully present, embracing the beauty of the moment.
