When I went off to the city for photography school I had in my mind that I wanted to be a fashion photographer.
Four years later, I couldn’t live any longer without being able to watch a Prince Edward County sunset whenever I felt like it. Deb + Johan travelled all the way from Richmond Hill for to celebrate their one year anniversary in our very own Prince Edward County. I was very humbled and blessed to be a part of it.
When we first met at Lakeshore Lodge, Deb stepped out of the car in a beautiful floor length ivory dress and Johan, looking dapper in a navy blue suit that he had wore on his wedding day a year prior. A timeless, modern couple with their hearts on their sleeves, in the County’s golden hour; my photographer heart was full.
HOT TIP: The wedding bliss doesn’t have to end on the day you say your vows. Anniversary sessions are the best way to get back into the dress you thought you would only wear once and celebrate your first (or second, or twentieth) year as a married couple. They’re also a great way to get photos you may have forgot on the big day, or at a dream location you couldn’t get to on your wedding day.
